Postcard from 1916 Iowa: Paddling Her Own Canoe

Isn't this a fun bit of ephemera?
Our story on the postage side is a bit comical, in that "Mollie" has a request that her mother should remember to fetch her some new stockings, " size 9 1/2." :)
I love old messages on postcards. They take me on a journey to the times and attitudes of another century, when life was less about machines and more about people.
The pansies on our illustrated side signify thoughtfulness, while our canoe paddler is ready to take on more fun.
As is our habit, we offer both the old and the refreshed looks to both sides of our quaint little postcard. We hope our readers may find more than one use for each of the 4 images we offer this time.
Happy Summer Creative Fun!

Swetie, look again. It's American, I'm afraid--you'll have to click on our French category--we do have one or two things there. And you OWN the one you won!!!
Wish we had more to offer in that area. We plan to later on this year.
HEY--tell you what! Try our Rough Cut & Wrinkled for your French piece!

somedays my thoughts don't go into written words properly!!!!!
I'm really "into" the postcard images and I'm delighted to get the "American" one's!!! xo

Christine: Thank you for your kind assessment of our cleaning up process!
P.S. Don't tell anyone, but I think I maybe accidentally named our pictures' jpg names wrong! Shouldn't matter, but around here, we like our details to fit with every effort given.

This is my first visit and I cannot believe it, you mean to say that all these are free to use in our artwork?

Lynne: Hello--and Welcome to our Studio's Freebie blog!
We love to have new visitors, especially of the creative sort. :)
Anything you see here that is not marked with a copyright IS free for use anywhere, anytime.
If you choose wisely, there should never be any problem for you.
We are including in our free category any of our Family Fun Projects, along with the Hearts Within Hearts set, etc.
Please remember we blog freely, yet do respect the rights of others for keeping their personal designs their own. This means our guest artists' work may NOT be used by you or anyone unless the artist herself will specify it is. But it also means our previous postings of finished works, such as for any Blissfull ATC swaps or Three Muses Challenge, DO NOT fall into our Freebie category.
We hope to make available to one and all our final ruling in this matter coming up shortly, so do watch for a little shift in the way our stock's going to end up being on display for use.
That will hopefully shed enough light on our newest (and hopefully final) policy on what's free and what cannot be for use by others.
Thank you so much for the enthusiasm you've shown on your first time around here!
We'll look forward to further visits and hope to come visit you soon!
Have a great holiday weekend!
