This is out of an old book, circa 1908. I love the patina, so am including it here along with its cleaned up version. I colorized it only slightly, as the white seemed too stark or modern, and any other color looked less attractive than the pale yellow chosen. We could see this framed on a wall, or in someone's daily journal. The truth is, the sky's the limit on such an image. It really cries out to be re-utilized from project to project. We love it for its truthful rendering of what a wild bird's egg really does look like. But then, naturalist art can really say so much more besides "egg" and "bird," don't you agree?
We hope you'll find many uses for our offerings here, and would enjoy it very much if some of you wished to share your work including any of the images we post here.
Happy Creativity from all of us here the Studio!
