This is my favorite time of year for color in the natural world. I love all the russets, the golden tones, the pretty, bright, vivid red golds lighting up the sky on cloudy days. Well, today's post brings to the fore a mood which I can't get enough of, as I'm always sad to see Autumn's color palette fade.
Let's enjoy it to the fullest, then, with our art skills, and by adding leaf color to our designs we might just capture Autumn's tone before it's gone. I might have a few ideas for cards addressed to friends and family at Christmas, usually, yet these evoke a kind of calm reverence for all things fall which might do well for either Thanksgiving or Harvest time cards.
The four designs below are soft and yet so brilliant, they really add to all things autumnal.
While you're here, you may want to head over to the Rusty Rooster where Vickie is about to give away some wonderful artwork along with lots of goodies!!! You can follow her blog's link over in our left column, or you can go directly to the post that applies by going HERE. Really an unusually nice set of prizes.
Hope you'll enjoy your visit there as much as I did with your--

Amy: I think they are unusually nice myself. You've probably got views much like these in your part of the world. Am I right? Such richness of color must be inspiring, indeed!

These are so lovely. Thank you so much for sharing. I could see these for the background of all kinds of dreamy scenes of mists and mellow fruitfulness. (love Keats)
Rhissanna: I love all good poetry, and Keats's is no exception! And these would certainly work for what you've suggested! Thanks for the great idea!
:)
