We just love playing with old sheets of paper, antique ones especially, here at the Studio. So when we found some older newsprint fragments in various states of decay online to play with, a happy thought struck: Why not make boutonnieres or medallions from digital "cutouts" of these fabulous old pages?
The result is what you see here.

What a clever idea! Instant 3D ephemera! Thank you, Miss Possum!
June: Thanks so much, dearie! We aim to please!
;)
Hope it's a great weekend for you and yours across the "pond!"

Miss Rabbit: You are quite welcome, friend! This is not our first foray into such fare. We also posted some 3D style cogged gems, Steampunk style last year--quite a while back, really. Nobody seemed too keen. But these we thought might be more easily embellished (stamped over, etc.).
Hope people find them usable!
:)

Absolutely wonderful art! Just love it.
Did my previous comment on the post before this show up? I was going to sign off with WordPress and ended up going to Google. I was having problems w/getting them accepted and then got a blank comment form - so I hope my comment is there!

Jenn: it's in there, my dear!
So good to have you around again! We're having a new Steam tea coming up shortly with a new kind of theme: steamship travel. To Cairo! Then down the Nile!
Come play!

thanks for your lovely comment on my blog..big thanks for sharing all your lovely printables..I will definitely be using these layered flowers..they will be really good on cards when you have to keep everything flat so that postage is not too much..but they still look as if you have layered them
Lorraine: Thanks for seeing the entire point of these designs! You're the first to mention it in its proper context! i love dimensional work, but it won't fit some journals and cards for mailing. Hence, our new designs with 3D LOOK but 2D in practice.
Take care and have a lovely weekend upcoming.
